I did see one commercial site that stated the CIS thing, but odd none of the consulates sites I visited didwell, guess not “odd”this is Russia after all! Churchill was indeed a very shrewd and far-sighted man! I’ve seen it elsewhere, but I had a look at the Real Russia site and VFS they don’t mention this clause. You can NOT use a the visa free rule to do this, to leave Russia by airline or train you must have a valid visa.
